about the authors

writer
faith wells

As Snowy and Violet’s “mom,” Faith Wells experienced a world of adventure through the imagination of her mom. The adventures with her beloved childhood companions, a shy and reticent teddy bear and a flamboyant outgoing duck brought her years of joy and delight. Now as they are retold to new friends, she can relive the magic of her youth.

An alumna of George Fox, Oregon’s nationally recognized Christian University, Faith graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a minor in biblical studies.

Faith enjoys family game nights with her husband and loves to travel. In the last few years, she has worked as a preschool teacher where the kids have inspired her with their love of reading. She writes with the hope of inspiring them just as much.

writer
donna martin

Donna Martin attended The University of Southern Mississippi where she earned a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology with Child Development among her favorite studies.

Looking back, she views becoming a parent later in life as one of the most remarkable blessings she has ever received. Donna believes that helping a child feel loved and secure is an intentional choice made by the parent or guardian. And that giving a child a firm foundation and the knowledge that they are truly loved enables them to embrace life’s adventures.

Throughout Faith’s childhood Donna gave voice to Snowy and Violet’s “feelings” and their perspectives of daily activities. Whether wrestling with issues like who mom loves more to their different personalities, Snowy and Violet would always reach the conclusion that love for one another was the glue that bound them as family.

Donna’s hobbies include home renovation, traveling, and taking care of the kids that God sends her way.
